"Deer Path Kennels is a phenomenal kennel. In our family, it is not a kennel, it is our dog's "second home." Like most dog owners, we want the best care for our dog, especially when we are not around. Deer Path is a clean, comfortable, and friendly environment. It also allows our dog to play and interact with other dogs which is a treat for a family with only one dog. Steve, the owner of Deer Path Kennels, is amazing. He loves our dog and is genuinely glad to see him. We can't even say the words, "Do you want to go see Steve?" in our house as our dog goes crazy and can't wait to get into the car. The only bad part, our dog doesn't want to come back home! We could not ask for anything more than to know that our dog is in capable and loving hands when we are not around."
"Deer Path Kennels is a great place to bring your dog whether you are going to work for the day or out of town on vacation. The kennels are spotless, the dogs are friendly, and the owner is caring and extremely knowledgeable. Whether you have a calm older dog that you want to get out of the house for the day or a high energy pup that NEEDS to get out of the house for the day, Steve is great at making sure they go home happy and want to come back. I can't tell you how happy I am to have found someone who is as caring as he is intelligent. I've learned so much from him. If you're in the market for a great place to leave your dog, you are in luck! Before finding Deer Path, I have tried every other kennel in this area and Deer Path is far superior to any of them. My dog and I are so lucky to have such a wonderful place nearby."

"Deer Path Kennels provides a clean, safe and fun retreat for your pet. We have been bringing our two Frenchies there for a number of years, and we would never bring them any where else. They love it there. They are always so excited to see Steve. "
"This is a small family owned kennel and such a fantastic place. The kennels are spotless, you can eat off the floors. My Lab puppy just LOVES going each weekday for daycare, and I know that he is well cared for and I can have ease of mind. The owners are wonderful and really care that each dog left in their care gets the best care, exercise and rest."
"Best kennel in Monmouth County. My border Collie mix likes it there so much, on more than one occasion, she has not wanted to leave. Owner Steve Horan keeps the place spotless, there is a huge enclosed grass yard for playtime, and he's very attuned to which dogs can play together well. I travel a lot, and knowing my dog is safe, well cared for and having a good time gives me peace of mind. Steve's a great dog trainer/behavior coach too,. The tips he's shared with me over the years have made me a better, more confident dog owner. Have recommended Deer Path to several friends. They've had good experiences too."
"Invaluable resource. Amazing care for our furry family members."

"At the recommendation of a trusted friend and our vet, we brought our Dachshund, Rudy to Deer Path Kennels back in 2009. We have been loyal customers ever since. When we drop Rudy off at Deer Path Kennels, we know exactly what to expect: a clean and comfortable kennel, plenty of exercise and playtime, discipline, and lots of love from Steve Horan and his entire family. We know Rudy is happy there because when we arrive, he pulls up the driveway barking and wagging his tail! And when we pick him up, we can tell he has been well-cared for. Steve's love for dogs and his knowledge of dogs and their needs has been invaluable to us. He takes the time to get to know your dog, his personality, and all his quirks. When we're away, we have complete peace of mind that Rudy is getting the best care possible which means our family can relax and enjoy wherever we are without worrying about our dog! Priceless!"
"Great stay for our doggie, so nice to know you have someone you can trust with your dog when you are away. Place is really clean and well run. They know a lot about dogs and really seem to care. Will definitely be back. Thanks Steve and Beth."
"Great place. Steve is the only person I trust to take care of my dog. Highly recommend."
"We've been trusting Steve and his family at Deer Path with our beloved Bouvier Phoebe at least three times a year for the past many years. The only issue we've ever had is getting Phoebe to leave and come home. She loves the place, and loves to play with the new and old friends she finds there. We have never once worried about Phoebe while we're away because we know she's in good hands. Deer Path cares for your pooch as you would yourself. We couldn't ask for more and neither could you."
"I would not leave my precious Winston anywhere else. Steve and his wife treat your family member like their own. Kennels are spotless, and the dogs have land to run about and play."
"Thank you. It is very comforting to have found friends to help care for our dog while we are away. It would seem a simple task to care for another's animal but experience has taught me otherwise. Our dog has been cared for by our veterinarian and by home sitters but both lacked the attention our dog requires. Unlike our visits to the veterinarian, Lisa (a Shiba Inu) is always excited about the visit to Deer Path Kennels and displays a great fondness for Steve, a rare exhibit for our dog. Thank you for the peace of mind while we are away; if only you took cats."
